Inventory Control Manager manages inventory control operations. Implements policies, objectives, and initiatives.     Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual willing to create and lead a team focused on the development and regulating of forecast, production capacity, and buildout activities across the region.

    Essential Functions:
    Capacity Management:
    • Oversee monthly capacity planning for the entire region (Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mexico)
    • Use data from firm orders, forecast, quantity on hand, future launch schedules, and new quotations to create each plant’s overall capacity plan that follows the company sourcing rules.
    • Make decisions regarding most efficient, cost-effective location to produce products that meet corporate and customer expectations.
    • Identifies potential capacity constraints and works with Corporate Purchasing to outsource production as necessary.
    • Review current capacity in Assembly and Molding to ensure alignment to the company sourcing rules.
    • Leads activities surrounding customer capacity studies and submissions via portals.
    • Make recommendations for changes to sourcing rule policies and gather appropriate cost studies to support.
    • Interact and collaborate with other plants to ensure consistency of methods in capacity planning.
    • Develops the calculations, necessary systems, and controls to accomplish operational targets across the region.
    • Analyzes performance of capacity plans compared with actual production data and report accuracy.
    Inventory Management:
    • Oversee business activities related to inventory management for the entire region (Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mexico)
    • Works with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, and Service Part departments to establish clear inventory targets that support corporate and customer needs.
    • Track and report on progress of buildout activities for items ending mass production and transitioning into service.
    • Minimize obsolete inventory of finished goods, components, and raw materials to support company goals for scrap reduction.
    • Develop and update calculations that are used to determine Buildout and Service Part inventories.
    • Identifies high inventory value items and works with Planning team to realign to targets.
    • Coordinates transfer of buildout items to service with Service Part team.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    Education:
    • Degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field preferred
    • Relevant experience will be considered.
    Experience/Skills/Requirements:
    • 5-10 years experience in an automotive/fast paced production environment focusing primarily on inventory management, capacity, and/or production planning.
    • Strong MS Office skills particularly Excel
    • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is a plus.
    • Experience with the development/creation of automated reporting and databases is also a plus.
    • Must be able to prioritize and meet stringent deadlines & possess project management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all departments and outside audits.
    • Must communicate proficiently in English (verbally and written) and interact well with associates & other management members.
    • Must be able to analyze data and organize in useful formats to make decisions.
    • Must be cooperative and work well in team environment.
    • Must be able to travel overnight by auto and air.
