Inventory Control Specialist at Universal Perfumes and Cosmetics
Position Overview: Universal Perfumes and Cosmetics is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management system, ensuring that our wide range of products are accurately accounted for, allocated, and managed throughout our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be proficient in Excel, and have a keen eye for detail to support our daily operations and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excel Proficiency: Utilize advanced Excel skills for data management, analysis, and reporting to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Data Entry: Perform accurate and timely data entry to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Daily Transfer List Maintenance: Keep a detailed daily log of inventory transfers within and between warehouses to ensure product availability and allocation efficiency.
- Product Allocation Support: Assist in the allocation of products within the warehouse (WH) to optimize stock levels and fulfill order requirements.
- Stock Reconciliation and Follow-up: Conduct regular stock reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate actions to resolve inventory issues promptly.
- GP Adjustment and Posting: Manage and adjust Microsoft Dynamics GP (ERP Software) calculations and postings as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Daily Reporting: Generate and distribute daily reports on inventory status, movements, and discrepancies to relevant departments.
- Refund and Return Assistance: Assist in processing refunds and returns efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and accurate stock adjustments.
- Package Lost Queries and Claims: Serve as a key point of contact for package lost queries, liaising with USPS and other carrier companies to file and follow up on claims to resolve issues promptly.
- Customer Care Support: Provide backup support to the customer care team, addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to inventory, shipping, and other concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field, preferably in the cosmetics or retail industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management software.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform stock reconciliation and manage GP adjustments.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain daily transfer lists and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist in customer care and coordinate with carrier companies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
