    Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services is currently seeking an Inventory Control Analyst who will ensure security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review.

    The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the government property, customer property and KDRSS owned property management systems. The Inventory Control Analyst will coordinate with the Inventory Analyst and Material Control Supervisor to report and resolve system and inventory deficiencies. The Inventory Control Analyst will immediately report control, use, preservation, protection, and repair and maintenance deficiencies for government, customer, and KDRSS property. Completes movement, storage, release and delivery of property to work areas as well as performs data entry into a property management database.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Manage inventory as well as warehouse.
    • Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts.
    • Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies.
    • Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy for both DoD and Kratos/KDRSS.
    • Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry.
    • Ensure property management compliance to: Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and any contract terms and conditions, when applicable.
    • Immediately report loss of any government or customer owned property.
    • Ensure all required recordkeeping is documented and appropriately stored and protected.
    • Perform the tasks of receipt, transfer, relieve, ship and/or disposition government and customer property.
    • Report, record and system inaccuracies for government and customer property.
    • Completes documentation related to DD-1149 for government property.
    • Performs advanced navigation skills and data entry within the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP), when applicable.
    • Package, create packing slips, and set up shipments with current Logistics vendors as needed to support missions.
    • Identify and report deficiencies in procedures and work instructions.
    • Performs cycle counts and inventory audits for both government and Kratos.
    • Identifies property type (i.e., marking, labeling, stamping).
    • Record and report tool/ equipment maintenance requirements for preventative and corrective maintenance.
    • Record and report shelf life requirements.
    • Properly secure and segregate excess property to prevent commingling.
    • Performs government property assessments to ensure system adequacy in respective FAR outcomes (i.e. acquisition, receipt & identification, maintenance, utilization, records, etc.).
    • Completes system transactions and electronic record filing accurately and timely.
    • Physically receives, counts, moves, and ships property accurately and timely.
    • Perform self-assessments of “records to property” and “property to records” confirming the efficiencies of operations, accuracy of financial reporting, and protecting assets.
    • Manage discrepancy reports.
    • Maintains accountable records for items returned for: re-work, processing, or repair under warranty.
    • Responsible for property sub-location control and accuracies.
    • Responsible for identifying, disposition, and reporting of government, customer, and KDRSS excess of scrap materials, tooling and equipment.
    • Electronically file self-assessment results; including the report and reconciliation of deficiencies.
    • Responsible for requesting government excess of scrap materials by using the PCARSS (Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System).
    • Ability to create, modify, submit inventory schedules, input shipping and disposition information within PCARSS.
    • On a quarterly cycle, confirm procedure and report work instruction accuracies and deficiencies.
    • On a quarterly cycle, use experience and resources to improve at least one process.
    • Report government and customer performance accuracies/ deficiencies using metric data and charts.
    • Use of forklift, pallet jack, or other material handling equipment to move property (training will be provided, if required).
    • Create reports for audits, project costs, and overall inventory on hand.
    • Knowledge of Inventory software (Cost Point & EQuip a plus).
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time.
    • Ability to use computer and other office technology.

    Experience and Skills:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    Required:

    • Assist with stock room management and labeling of assigned materials.
    • Assist with auditing of assigned materials as needed.
    • Must be able to demonstrate intermediate computer skills (MS office, MRP/ERP, Outlook).
    • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively both written and verbally.
    • Ability to acquire certifications necessary to perform duties (US DOT Hazardous Materials 49 CFR, IATA, IMDG, Explosives handling).
    • Ability to understand financial impact of deficient inventory procedures and transactions.
    • Ability to self-manage priorities and workload
    • Must have government property procedures awareness.
    • Knowledge of IATA (International Air Transport Association) – Dangerous goods shipments.
    • Knowledge of IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods).
    • Must possess Basic Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
    • May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of strong working knowledge and experience of the inventory control functions.
    • Prior hands-on experience with an inventory/ERP system.
    • Forklift and scissor lift operator certification (training will be provided, if required).

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of Inventory software (Cost Point & EQuip a plus)
    • DoD Secret clearance
