Description
The Facilities Management unit of the Division of Facilities and Services is accepting applications for a Trades Specialist I within Roads and Grounds.
Under the supervision of the Supervisor and / or Lead Landscape Construction Worker shall perform skilled landscape construction duties.
These will include the repair and construction of steps, sidewalks, roads, parking lots, etc. The Landscape Construction worker will operate all Roads & Grounds equipment in performing these duties.
Shall work with other crafts as needed. Will fill in for the Landscape Construction Worker Lead as needed.

Operate equipment such as payloaders, backhoes, road grader, dozers, asphalt pavers, rollers, forklifts, crane trucks, large dump trucks, sanitation vehicles, landscape equipment, and skid loaders.
Operates tractors, lawn maintenance equipment, and power tools needed to perform landscape construction and maintenance.
Follows verbal or written instructions and interprets blueprints that pertain to landscape construction.
Assists the mechanics with major repairs.
