JOB SUMMARY
TITLE: Director of Sales
REPORTS TO: General Manager
REQUIRED TASKS:
• Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist GM in planning the ADR & Occupancy for budgets each year.
• Sales and Marketing Duties:
• Minimum of 15 marketing calls per day (personal/cold call/phone).
• Attend monthly Chamber, CVB meetings and other community events.
• Review “daily” the revenues.
• Establish room rates for LNR’s.
• Revenue maximization:
• Monitor occupancy & ADR
• Monitor rate programs
• Maintain room inventory in PMS
• Use of revenue management principles and restrictions to optimize revenue.
• Able to teach and train essential job duties of each FD position for sales.
• Must have a working telephone.
• Must maintain the highest standards for personal appearance and hygiene.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Regular and reliable attendance as approved by GM.
• Provide leadership and hands on management activities.
• All other duties as assigned by GM.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS office products (Outlook, Word, Works, Excel)
• Complete understanding of SJB policies and procedures.
• Ability to positively promote SJB policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers at properties and at corp.
• Complete understanding of how a Property Management System (within 90 days of employment)
• Ability to identify contacts at both SJB Hotels, Inc. and its partners if applicable to your location.
• Knowledge and ability to teach revenue management principles.
