T47 International, Inc (T47) is seeking a full time Technical Controllers (Labor Category:
Personnel Assistant II) to support the United States Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) Decoration
Processing Unit (UDPU) located at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The UDPU provides quality
personnel support, through the administration of a contingency decorations program, to
commanders, Air Force members (military/civilian), their family members and retirees. The
Technical Controller will serve as an Awards and Decoration Processor. The normal hours of
operations are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities
? Review, process and prepare submitted awards, decorations, and certificates for
presentation.
? Record, track, report, and recommend solutions to issues experienced while processing
internal and external awards.
? Provide awards and decorations support in accordance with JSOC, DoD, and Service
military and civilian awards regulations, policies and procedures.
? Develop and provide awards and decorations training to newly assigned Awards POCs
and provide customer service support to all unit Awards POCs as required.
? Provide routine administrative support actions, including data entry, tracking, updating,
and reporting.
? Perform records management function by organizing, creating, deleting, retrieving and
replacing electronic and hardcopy files.
? Assist in providing general guidance on awards and decorations, process award
recommendations, publish orders, publicize criteria of newly established Air Force
awards and decorations, and solicit and announce the award of the Air Force Outstanding
Unit Award (AFOUA), Presidential Unit Citations (PUC), Meritorious Unit Award
(MUA) and the Gallant Unit Citation (GUC) to units supporting the 9 AF (USAFCENT)
mission to include joint/foreign decoration processing.
? Responsible for all administrative actions in facilitating decoration boards, and
processing decorations.
? Maintain and provide periodic statistics on timeliness.
? Prepares and processes correspondence and forms.
? Verify and process inquiries concerning status and entitlements of awards and correct
decoration discrepancies. Update UDPU database with current award and decoration
data.
? Assist with general office administrative duties, print out SURFs from MILPDS and
provide customer service to walk in customers. Will routinely be required to perform
some clerical work in addition to the above duties.

members, and retirees

? Verify and process inquiries concerning status and entitlements of awards and correct
decoration discrepancies
? Update UDPU database with current award and decoration data
? Use established and defined criteria to prepare, monitor, and verify documents and
records crucial to airmen careers and the UDPU mission
? Monitor the integrity of personnel data by reviewing computer products generated to
assess information accuracy
? Brief Customers on policies, directives and procedures for awards and decorations by
responding to inquiries and making referrals to other agencies
? Assist with general office administrative duties, print out SURFs from MILPDS and
provide customer service to walk in customers. Will routinely be required to perform
some clerical work in addition to the above duties.
