We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial management skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance to the organization.
Duties:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Conduct account analysis and general ledger reconciliation
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Manage the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budget
- Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments
- Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Provide guidance and support to finance team members
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices in financial management
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
- Experience in general ledger accounting, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders
