Being an International Controller maintains an in-depth, and up to date knowledge and understanding of both US and international accounting principles. Advises management of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact international operations and reporting. Additionally, International Controller requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to a CFO or top management. Typically requires CPA. The International Controller manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. JOB SUMMARY:
To manage and coordinate through subordinate staff, the general accounting function for Textron eAviation and other financial and/or administrative functions as deemed appropriate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Maintenance of the general ledger system and related accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies and procedures.
o Coordination and/or oversight for accounting activities from subsidiary entities recorded in Textron eAviation’s general ledger.
o Timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and analysis and reconciliation of Textron eAviation’s various components of financial data to provide segment consolidated financial reporting to Textron’s Corporate Controller to meet Corporate, external and internal management requirements.
o Development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures and internal controls as necessary.
