International Compliance Manager plans and directs the corporation's comprehensive ethics, business conduct and compliance activities for all international operations under senior management direction. Directs the development and implementation of processes, procedures and systems to meet the entities' compliance activities and reporting requirements. Being an International Compliance Manager oversees the organization's compliance risk management program to assess, prioritize and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the standards of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines as related to the international operating units. Consults with and provides guidance and direction to the international operating company's senior executive in all aspects of the entity's ethics, business conduct and compliance program. Additionally, International Compliance Manager requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The International Compliance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an International Compliance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Overview:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for managing internal and external audits, surveys and risk assessments by working with Ministry Office and others to determine and document findings and recommendations. 1. Issues reports, complies data for responses, etc. related to findings and recommendations of internal & external audits, surveys & risk assessments.
2. Conducts research, provides references and guidance on Compliance and HIPAA matters to internal customers.
3. Develops and presents to various learners, compliance/privacy education and training. Tracks activities accordingly.
4. Manages investigations on privacy and compliance issues and complaints. Initiates corrective action and process improvement as indicated. Communicates with patients and/or relevant parties in person, via phone and/or written methods.
5. Tracks and maintains accurate information in Compliance department databases and files.
6. Complies/presents various Compliance reports, meeting agendas, minutes, etc.
7. Coordinates various Compliance meetings.
8. Maintains knowledge and experience pertaining to healthcare regulatory requirements in areas such as HIPAA, Medicare, Stark, etc.
9. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.
Some travel may be required to meet department needs.
