International Compliance Manager plans and directs the corporation's comprehensive ethics, business conduct and compliance activities for all international operations under senior management direction. Directs the development and implementation of processes, procedures and systems to meet the entities' compliance activities and reporting requirements. Being an International Compliance Manager oversees the organization's compliance risk management program to assess, prioritize and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the standards of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines as related to the international operating units. Consults with and provides guidance and direction to the international operating company's senior executive in all aspects of the entity's ethics, business conduct and compliance program. Additionally, International Compliance Manager requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The International Compliance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an International Compliance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     At ISSA, offering accredited online education is at the heart of our mission to our students. In this operational and supportive role, the Accreditation and Compliance Manager focuses on managing all areas related to certification rules and regulations - whether from the NCCA Board, the NCCPT Board, or any other governing bodies. The two major components of this role are NCCA Accreditation leadership and compliance management for ISSA.
    • NCCA Accreditation – oversight and management of all accreditation, certification and compliance-related activities. You will monitor, update and ensure organizational processes are aligned and delivered according to plan. This role will work closely with the Sales and Student Success Teams to offer guidelines and maintain compliance to the certification program policies. You will make sure other departments have the appropriate tools and resources to carry out certification program policies. You will enlist the services of other vendors for activities around accreditation maintenance, accreditation, and student testing (consulting, test vendors, site centers, SMEs, etc.).

    • Compliance – oversight and management of all the CCPA & GDPR compliance requirements. You will monitor and stay up to date on all compliance changes and update internal documentation while maintaining a document repository for all CCPA & GDPR policies and procedures. You will address, track, and manage all CCPA and/or GDPR requests, and reporting.

    Major Responsibilities:
    • Maintain NCCA Accreditation: Leads and supports projects and initiatives including: job task analysis, item development, item analysis, and standard setting. Interacting with all stakeholders to create projects and ensure the on-time delivery of initiatives.

    • Oversee NCCPT Education: Manage NCCPT exams, candidate test-taking needs, and coordination with exam proctoring companies. Provide training as needed, and work with stakeholders to expand understanding of accreditation. Coordinate and document all NCCPT Board and related meetings. Ensure compliance with NCCA rules. Work with NCCA Consultants and Psychometricians on annual reports. Maintain a document repository for all NCCPT documentation and contracts.

    • Manage Case Scenarios: Provide leadership to support teams when encountering special scenarios such as examination appeals, disciplinary actions, testing accommodations, and recertification petitions.

    • Manage Accreditation Financial Processes: Monitor and manage invoice payments, the purchase of goods and services, and reimbursements. Coordinate with the accounting team to research, compile and analyze data to create financial and operational reports, presentations, and proposals.

    • Coordinate Board/SME Recruiting: Conduct Board and Subject Matter Expert candidate phone screens, ensure seamless interview experience, solicit reference checks, and communicate/track onboarding and training process.

    • Medacat Management: Ensure new users are trained to use the item bank software correctly and have clear direction on what items they will be adding, editing, or reviewing.

    What is ISSA looking for?
    • 3 years of aligned professional experience, with significant time invested in project and process management, ideally in the Education industry

    • Minimum 1 year of required experience in compliance and accreditation

    • Excellence in all aspects of communication: written, verbal, and interpersonal

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail

    • Wide range of technical proficiency, including MS Office, Google Suite, CRM and LMS
