What this role looks like:
This position performs audits based off the annual audit plan as approved by the Supervisory Committee of operations, financial records, and internal control systems. They will assess the effectiveness of controls and procedures, accuracy of financial records, level of regulatory compliance, and efficiency of operations. They will also document and reports findings, and make recommendations. Successful candidates will share Envista's core values of Empower, Exceed, Integrity, Unity, and Impact.
Note: This is an on-site position at our Main Office in Topeka, KS. This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
What you'll do:
- Performs audits and assesses the effectiveness of Credit Union operating systems and processes. Audits financial and other Credit Union records to detect deviations from established policies and generally accepted accounting practices, completeness of information, accuracy of data, fraudulent or wasteful activity, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Recommends enhancements or changes required.
- Performs test work associated with Internal Audit.
- Documents audit results. Analyzes findings, gathers adequate supporting evidence, and makes sound, appropriate recommendations. Prepares and submits detailed audit reports for review. Maintains files.
- Review procedures and internal controls to ensure they are being adhered to, review documentation to ensure it meets regulatory and internal standards,. Reviews fraud prevention procedures, controls, and detection processes on an ongoing basis. Makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Provide follow-up to Supervisory Committee and management.
- Maintains professional development training for compliance and auditing standards.
- Performs special audits/reviews as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
- (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree
