Position Summary:
As an Interior Designer at DC Structures, you’ll play a crucial role in transforming spaces into inspiring environments. You’ll collaborate with clients, our Architectural design team, Structural design team, and other team members to create designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and practicality.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client meetings to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, and space plans.
- Select furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes.
- Collaborate with our architectural team to realize our clients' project goals
- Create detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors during project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
- Liaise with sales, design, and construction teams to understand customer preferences and build timelines.
- Assist with bid solicitation, estimates, and pre-project planning regularly.
- Provide purchasing support and product selection coordination throughout the construction process.
- Prepare and maintain customer selection forms, drawings, and files.
- Input design selections into internal systems accurately, and follow-up to ensure timely completion of project specifications with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in interior and architectural design.
- Proficiency in the following design software: Chief Architect Premier and Revit
- Specification knowledge of high-end finishes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Strong technical background in creating construction documents.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for creativity and attention to detail.
