The Opportunity

Were looking for a creative, organized, and customer-focused Interior Designer to guide our clients through the exciting process of creating their vision of a perfect home. This position will work closely with our clients to guide them through the process of assessing needs and wants, presenting design concepts that satisfy the clients aesthetic preferences, specifying finishes and materials based on the clients budgetary requirements, and adhering to project timelines.

A successful candidate will be responsible for completing projects with accuracy and creativity while monitoring project performance and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively align vision & design to our brand
• Oversee material and finish specifications, overall color palette, and the coordination of architectural elements with interior and exterior spaces.
• Develop and present to client mood boards, finish schedules, and overall interior design theme.
• Actively design to the clients budget.
• Maintain documentation related to the design process, including client-approved selection sheets, finish schedules/appendices, and interior drawings, and ensure that the design vision is accurately implemented in the field through consistent communication with the Construction team and field visits.
• Provide sketches, layouts, measurements, and installation instructions to ensure proper installation of finishes by the field crew.
• Incorporate Choice Builders design standards, details, and keynotes, and actively contribute to the development and documentation of interior drawings and interior design best practices.
• Foster and continually develop vendor and trade relations seeking effective and efficient pricing for products and innovative materials. 
• Manage multiple homes at different stages of development and management
• Confidently and effectively manage the client experience and expectations by overcoming objectives and providing clear and consistent communication
• Oversee and closely manage client billable hours and log hours daily
• Conduct on-site visits and inspections to ensure that design specifications are being met.
• Stay updated with design trends, materials, and industry best practices.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to clearly understand design objectives and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• NCIDQ Certification preferred
• Possess a keen sense of style and design, and be up to date on the latest trends.
• Must have good color sense and the ability to read house plans.
• Ability to remain flexible and patient during the customer decision-making process.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Buildertrend and Chief Architect preferred, but not required.
• Must be comfortable and adept with technology.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills. 
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy. 
• Ability to design to budget and meet project timeline goals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Ability to perform effectively and efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities 
• Must be a team player, with an enthusiastic attitude.
• High level of integrity.
• Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations
• Proven experience in residential interior design
• Portfolio showcasing previous residential design projects (required).
• Must have a clean driving record, and be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Salary and Benefits:

• Full Time
• Salary at $40,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
