Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Duties

    This is a Career-Seasonal position and is subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal position includes all the benefits of permanent employment but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis.

    As such, the selectee will be in a non-pay / non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year. While in pay status, the work schedule is full-time.

    The typical season for Haleakala National Park is Mid-October through the end of September with one pay period of non-pay occurring from end of September to Mid-October.

    MAJOR DUTIES :

    • Lead and supervise completion of trail maintenance project through effective allocation of assignments, tools, and materials to work crews.
    • Inspect in progress and completed work to ensure final product adheres to standards for quality and quantity.
    • Monitor, document, manage, and direct safety program for assigned employees.
    • Provide feedback and document performance of employees.
    • Gather trail condition assessment data and develop long range maintenance plans.

    • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
    • Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
    • Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
    • You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required.

    You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.

    • You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
    • You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
    • If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
    • You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 2-4 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
    • Government Charge Card : You may be required to complete training and obtain / maintain a government charge card with travel and / or purchase authority.

    To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors :

    • Ability to Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT)
    • Stamina (QUALITY RANKING FACTOR)
    • Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading)
    • Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
    • Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
    • Knowledge of Materials
    • Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic)
    • Use of Measuring Instruments
