Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager manages the interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to interior assembly team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Kimberley Harrison Interiors is a full-service Interior design firm in downtown Lafayette with projects spanning the entire bay area. We are looking for a seasoned Interior Designer with Project Management expertise to join our dynamic team. An ideal candidate will have worked as an interior designer and now wishes to support and work alongside the principal to manage a design team while still performing some design tasks. This position requires a candidate that is motivated, able to multitask, communicate well, and be excellent at delegating. If you are passionate about design and leadership this is your opportunity to thrive with us. Your top skills should include time management, organization, problem solving, drafting, communication and leadership.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Principal and design team to manage projects from conception to completion
    • Estimate project hours and meticulously manage budgets
    • Responsible for meeting or exceeding the financial goals established for projects
    • Develop and refine design processes
    • Mentor project team members
    • Create clear project objectives and oversee execution
    • Organize project schedules to enforce deadlines
    • Review and approve architectural designs
    • Keep up to date with codes and standards
    • Assist with drawings and renderings
    • Select and specify hard finishes, soft finishes a plus
    • Understand and anticipate the technical implications of design decisions
    • Facilitate design and construction meetings
    • Supervise Interior Design team and lead them to project completion
    • Oversee accurate preparation of project construction documents and details ensuring quality control and completion
    • Elevate the firm’s relationships, work and style
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications
    • Design custom cabinetry, built-ins and furniture as needed
    • Expertly manage client satisfaction and internal communication - a must!

    Requirements:

    • Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or equivalent experience
    • 6-8 years of residential design experience
    • 3-5 years of project management
    • Highly skilled in AutoCad and construction drawings - A MUST!
    • Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
    • Exceptional communication and budget management abilities
    • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized - NON negotiable!
    • Team player and have the ability to manage people effectively
    • Valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable vehicle
    • Willing to work in the studio - this is not a remote position
    • Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humor

    Salary: dependent upon experience
