Intellectual Property Docket Specialist jobs in Florida

Ball JanikLLP is seeking an enthusiastic person to join our Litigation Practice Group in our Orlando, Florida office as a highly responsible Docket Specialist. Thes successful candidate will be energetic and organized, responsible for reviewing pleadings, correspondence, and other communications received and then applying appropriate procedural and court rules to determine deadlines and entering those dates into ProLaw. The Docket Specialist also prepares docket reports that identify upcoming deadlines and distributes those reports to attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants while observing confidentiality of client and firm matters.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Input all deadlines and other information accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Generate and review docket on a daily and weekly basis to ensure that deadlines are met and that attorneys/paralegals are notified on a regular basis of upcoming deadlines.
• Generate status reports as needed.
• As with all positions, perform other duties as requested by Firm management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years legal experience.
• Familiarity with ProLaw or other docketing web-based software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks simultaneously; work well as part of a team; and excellent organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.77 - $23.81 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
