Intake Services Representative - Home Care jobs in Lake Havasu City, AZ

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the patient intake, staffing and scheduling process, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients and referral sources, responding to patient requests and concerns, and managing the insurance verification and authorization processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate or GED equivalent

2. Minimum of one (1) year home health experience REQUIRED. Experience in home health care intake/admissions including staffing/scheduling is preferred.

3. Knowledge of corporate business management, governmental regulations, and private payer practices.

4. Must be computer literate and able to perform general clerical skills.

5. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Directs all daily patient referral and intake operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of intake policies.

2. Ensures compliance with all state and federal referral/intake regulatory requirements.

3. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains initial authorizations for services and seeks reauthorization for ongoing and additional services.

4. Tracks admission, discharge, case conferences, certification and re-certification dates on all patients.

5. Responsible for staffing and/or scheduling visits, informing staff of any changes, updates, etc., regarding admissions; discharges, visits, schedules; and clinical meetings as directed by the Clinical Coordinator, Director of Clinical Services and/or Administrator.

6. Participates with the Agency after office hours on-call rotation is required.

SALARY:

Negotiable based on experience
