  • The Intake Coordinator is responsible for serving as a liaison to clients, firm personnel and the internal call center service and will oversee and facilitate administrative responsibilities related to Firm matters.     Reporting Relationships:

    This position reports to a Regional Administrator.

    Location: Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Manchester, NH; Albany, NY; Melville, NY; New York City, NY; Providence, RI; Rochester, NY; Washington, DC

    • Operate a multi-line phone in order to relay incoming and outgoing calls.
    • Answer phone and greet callers in a positive and professional manner; directs phone calls to the appropriate attorney, staff member or to the voice mail system.
    • Maintain positive, pleasant, and helpful demeanor at all times and remain calm under pressure.
    • Schedule intake calls and client meetings as needed.
    • Participate in cross-training initiatives and cross-functional team support in order to provide backup to firm administrative staff.
    • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with attorneys and members of firm administration.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service support OR call center support. Experience with victim advocacy, or counseling preferred.
    • Associate degree preferred. Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
    • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
    • Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
    • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail.
    • Excellent technical skills in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent judgment, communication, verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows: Rochester and Buffalo, NY, Manchester, NH: $39,550 to $54,460; Albany, NY: $41,530 to $57,185; Boston, MA and Washington, DC: $47,460 to $65,350; Providence, RI: $43,500 to $59,900; NYC and Melville, NY: $49,440 to $68,050.

    In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range is Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
