  • We are in search of a highly skilled Legal Intake Specialist to join our dynamic legal intake team. As the initial point of contact for potential new clients involved in accidents seeking legal representation, the successful candidate will hold a pivotal role in efficiently and empathetically guiding them through the initial intake process. In this position, you will not only field inquiries from accident victims but also engage with individuals affected by medical malpractice and workplace injuries. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that potential new clients feel confident in selecting our law firm as their preferred option. Your task will be to secure their agreement to sign a retainer, representing the crucial moment where their decision solidifies. Moreover, candidates must be at ease handling sensitive and weighty matters, offering compassionate support to individuals during potentially challenging times.

    Responsibilities:

    • Answer Inbound Calls: Respond promptly to incoming calls from individuals who have been in accidents and require legal representation.
    • Screening and Qualification: Conduct thorough and effective screening of potential clients to determine the viability of their case and ensure alignment with the law firm's practice areas.
    • Gather Accident Details: Collect comprehensive information about the accident, injuries sustained, and other relevant details to assist legal professionals in evaluating the potential case.
    • Provide Guidance: Offer clear and concise guidance to potential clients on the next steps in the legal process, outlining what documentation is needed and explaining the firm's intake procedures.
    • Demonstrate Empathy: Display a high level of empathy and understanding towards individuals who may be experiencing distress due to their recent accident, showing genuine care and concern.
    • Maintain Accurate Records: Document all relevant information accurately and thoroughly in the firm's database, ensuring that essential details are readily available for further case evaluation.
    • Collaborate with the Legal Team: Work closely with attorneys and legal staff to relay critical information and facilitate a smooth transition of potential clients into the legal representation process.

    Qualifications:

    • Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust over the phone.
    • Phone Etiquette: Professional and courteous phone etiquette with a clear and articulate communication style.
    • Empathy: Strong empathetic skills to connect with individuals who may be going through challenging situations.
    • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to efficiently handle multiple inquiries and tasks simultaneously.
    • Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of legal terminology and processes related to personal injury and accident cases (training will be provided).
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and provide preliminary guidance on potential legal matters.
    • Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive client information.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred).
    • Prior experience in customer service or call center roles is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
