    SUMMARY

    This position reaches out to mortgage loan customer leads and inputs customer information to pass to a Loan Officer. This position is a critical member of the team, the first point of contact to support client needs in the mortgage application process and a positive experience to a potential customer.

    This is an entry level position in Mortgage Sales with the potential to develop skills to become a Loan Originator.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following : other duties may be assigned.

    • Takes branch leads and reaches out to potential customers over the phone, timely.
    • Provides excellent customer service and positive representation of First Interstate Bank while taking customers information over the phone.
    • Records customers information accurately and professionally
    • Facilitates application intake over the phone or email prior to handing off to Loan Officer.
    • Dispositions client referral in Customer Relationship Management platform.
    • Coordinate appointment and transfer to Loan Officer when client is ready to move forward.
    • Organize leads from multiple referral sources.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required, and a minimum of 1-year related experience and / or training.

    OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

    Accurate keyboarding and 10-key skills required. Computer experience required with Windows software experience preferred.

    Ability to set priorities and work in an organized manner. Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.

    This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.

    As a condition of employment, any successful job applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment screening against the Limited Denial of Participation (LDP), GSA Excluded Party List System (EPLS) and Freddie Mac Exclusionary List.

    Valid driver’s license is required.

    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,

    proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of

    basic algebra and geometry.

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in

    written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit.

    The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.

    36 to $25.94 per hour (in CO & WA), and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location.
