Insurance and Risk Management Director directs the development and optimization of an organization's overall insurance program to manage and minimize risk and costs. Defines strategic objectives and policies to ensure effective insurance coverage for the organization and to develop risk financing budgeting. Being an Insurance and Risk Management Director implements processes that identify risk exposure and classify, measure, and manage insurable risks. About the Position
This is a newly-created role within the WEI Legal Department needed to support the growing diversity and complexity of the WEI ecosystem. In this role, the individual will work directly and closely with WEI’s internal teams to identify, manage, & prepare for all manner of risk impacting family offices & ultra-high net worth individuals. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, establishing positive working relationships with internal WEI teams and the broader WEI ecosystem.
Working directly with the General Counsel, this role will be responsible for developing an organization-wide response to risk across a broad range of topics. The Director of Risk Management will also be responsible for coordinating WEI’s overall risk management, working with existing subject matter experts – both internally and externally – to strategically prepare and plan for risk responses.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with existing WEI associates, the legal team, and the WEI ecosystem to deliver timely and accurate advice. Through this collaboration, the Director of Risk Management will ensure that the family’s goals, values, and interests are advanced and protected at all times.
