Insurance and Risk Management Director directs the development and optimization of an organization's overall insurance program to manage and minimize risk and costs. Defines strategic objectives and policies to ensure effective insurance coverage for the organization and to develop risk financing budgeting. Being an Insurance and Risk Management Director implements processes that identify risk exposure and classify, measure, and manage insurable risks. Develops the appropriate mix of insurance coverage for the organization and negotiate policy pricing and terms with vendors. Additionally, Insurance and Risk Management Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Insurance and Risk Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Insurance and Risk Management Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Assistant Account Manager - Risk Management

  • Primary Purpose:

    Provide professional service to new and existing clients by assisting the account manager and/ or team leader and processing their requests in a timely and accurate manner.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Process audits and endorsements.
    • Check and attach insurance policies in Epic.
    • Assemble client’s insurance policies for delivery.
    • Process and issue proofs of insurance (certificates, evidence of property).
    • Process endorsement requests, direct bill cancellations, and reinstatements.
    • Obtain loss runs, endorsements, billing, etc., from carrier websites.
    • Attend office/team meetings as necessary.
    • Participate in carrier website training.
    • Handle other duties as assigned.
    • Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

    Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:

    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
    • An active P&C license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
    • Microsoft Products experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).

    Desired Skills & Competencies:

    • Personal or commercial insurance experience.
    • Experience working with insurance software, preferably Applied Systems.
    • Experience working in an office setting.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
    • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
    • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
    • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
