Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for the pre-verification of insurance for patients being admitted into the hospital for care. Ensures insurance coverage by telephone, resolves any issues with coverage and escalates complicated issues to a supervisor or manager. Being an Insurance Verification Specialist interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all hospital and regulatory policies are in compliance. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Insurance Verification Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Insurance Verification Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     e are actively searching for highly qualified and experienced Cost Estimators to join the disaster recovery efforts from a Public Assistance (PA) Consolidated Resource Center.

    FEMA Insurance Specialists will be responsible for tasks, such as : Reviewing commercial property insurance documentation, including final settlement information, and identifying additional information neededDetermining the amount of actual or estimated insurance proceeds for the workEnsuring there is no duplication of benefits in grant funding that is provided by insurance coverageDetermining future insurance requirements for the damaged facilityDetermining any National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirementsReviewing requests to modify insurance requirementsAll positions are W2 as an employee of RealStreet.

    Salary is based upon experience, position requirements, classification criteria and skill level qualifications. Full expenses are paid, (including travel to and from the site, lodging and per diem) in accordance with the GSA schedule.

    Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirements for position for which they are applying : First-level professionals shall possess an Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in their field of expertise or five (5) years of expertiseMid-level professionals shall possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in their field of expertise and an Undergraduate Degree, or ten (10) years of experience in their field of expertiseSenior-level professionals shall possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in their field of expertise and an Undergraduate Degree, or fifteen (15) years of experience in their field of expertiseAs these are Public Trust positions, all candidates must submit to and successfully be deemed suitable for such a position as a result of an FBI background check.

    Failure to satisfactorily complete any aspect of this process is grounds for immediate termination.You must be able to work seven (7) days a week for extremely long hours each day and leave your home within 48 hours notice.

    Working conditions are a post-disaster environment. This means a lack of power, telephone, hotels, and most other modern conveniences for a long period of time.
