Insurance Claims Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to the evaluation, processing, and handling of insurance claims for an organization. Acts as a liaison between the organization, its insurance provider and agents, claimants, and policy holders regarding the status and eligibility for coverage for all relevant claims. Being an Insurance Claims Coordinator reviews claims to make sure that billing requirements are met, updates accounts as necessary, answers inquiries, and makes recommendations for resolution. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Insurance Claims Coordinator typically reports to a manager. The Insurance Claims Coordinator gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.   • Mountain West Farm Bureau is seeking a full-time In-House Claims Representative to join our team to undergo comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to handle insurance claims including investigating, analyzing, and settling claims by determining the extent of liability for personal, casualty or property loss/damages. The In-House Claims Representative serves as an internal liaison between policyholders, internal departments, and external stakeholders to process and resolve claims accurately. This full-time position is located at our home office in Laramie, WY and typically works 40 hours per week. You can expect a competitive wage of $3,941.67 per month .

    REQUIREMENTS FOR AN IN-HOUSE CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE

    In this full-time position, you will operate in a professional office environment. This role requires extended periods of walking, sitting, bending, and climbing and carrying ladders. Additionally, performing this job requires extensive work with computers, mobile devices, and other productivity tools. The following are required to assist in the duties performed by an In-House Claims Representative:

    • High school degree or GED.
    • Prior experience in insurance, customer service, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    • Ability to obtain a state adjuster’s license.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to claim sites as required.
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
