Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Insulation Worker is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Insulation Worker performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Responsibilities:
- Install insulation materials in buildings and structures
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
- Apply insulation to walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs
- Seal gaps and cracks in buildings to prevent air leakage
- Use hand tools and power tools to install insulation
- Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation
- Work with other construction professionals to coordinate insulation installation
