Insulation Worker applies insulating material to exposed surfaces of structures such as air ducts, hot and cold pipes, storage tanks, and cold storage rooms. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Insulation Worker is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Insulation Worker performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Insulation Installers perform air sealing and insulation services on existing residential and commercial buildings. Installing home performance solutions involves working in tight spaces and on ladders as well as loading and unloading products and materials, so candidates should be comfortable in an environment where safety is top-of-mind.
Our weatherization services include air sealing, insulation, bath fan installations, crawl space encapsulations, and more.
Prior experience in construction, insulation, or home performance work is preferred but not required, and paid training is available. We encourage all Insulation Installers to have a valid driver’s license to help with transportation.
