Supports engineering activities such as rack assembly, server / system OS imaging, complex cable-management, equipment installation and maintenance, check-out & debug of specialized equipment.
Works from written & verbal descriptions, and well-defined processes to support assembly, dev/test, & trouble-shooting functions in SSD Product Group.
Performs operational test & fault isolation for Eng. teams using various enterprise servers & their dependent components (HBA, NIC, DRAM, HDD/SSD, CPU) as well as services (DHCP, DNS, PXE, CIFS/SMB, FTP, IPAM) while contributing to defining and using best methods to remedy observed & reported failures (Jira, Outlook, Teams, Service Now)
Assists in task related to the assembly and verification of test racks, supports other service organizations with deliverables in labs (incl. IT Eng. Services, Facilities, & Cyber-Security)
Owns labs, tools, and dev product inventory with goal of enabling check-out & delivery of equipment for global customers while assuring the lab team meets requirements for passing ISO 9001, 6-S, ESD, EHS, & Risk-Management Audits.
Uses test, development, network, & core infrastructure equipment including 48U racks, KVM's, Eth & Fiber Network switches, switchable PDU's, various scopes & protocol analyzers, static field & resistance meters (esd), hand tools (screwdriver, drill, mallet, snips, wrenches, etc.)
Handles palettes & product at scale (500lbs ) with appropriate material management equipment (scissor-platforms, pallet jacks, hydraulic & electric server-lifts, storage bins, metal carts, & hand-trucks) May need to lift, scoot, & sort boxes exceeding 50lbs
working in various dock, staging, office, and lab workspaces, work at height on ladders or step-stools.
