Instructor - Rehabilitation teaches courses in the discipline area of rehabilitation and therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Function:
The primary purpose of the CNA Instructor is to conduct training for individuals who are pursuing certification for a career as a nursing assistant (nurse aide). The CNA Instructor will provide training in accordance with the state guidelines under the leadership of the community’s Director of Nursing.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid LPN/LVN/RN license within the state of employment.
- Must have at least two years of nursing experience. At least one year of which must be within the provision of long term care facility services.
- Must have completed a course in teaching adults, have experience in teaching adults, or supervising nurse aides.
