    The Medical Training Institute of New York invites applications for a Part-Time Adjunct Professor in General Physics. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course/section need and availability.

    Position Title
    Adjunct Instructor-General Physics

    Part-Time
    32.00 -38.00 Per Hour
    Job Responsibility
    • Teaches all courses as assigned by the Department Chair or Coordinator.
    • Maintains attendance and punctuality.
    • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
    • Prepares course syllabi (if not provided by the Department).
    • Meets all scheduled classes on the assigned day /time.
    • Uses scheduled class time appropriately.
    • Demonstrates a professional attitude, philosophy, and commitment that promotes student growth and learning.
    • Demonstrates commitment to the institutional mission, goals, and objectives.
    • Maintains accurate student records for grading and attendance, submitting grade reports within college deadlines.
    • During planned absences, coordinate with the Program Director or Program Coordinator for qualified substitute instructors and provide instructional materials, protocols, and directions to ensure consistent and sequential classroom instruction.
    • Promotes and maintains a healthy and safe educational and work environment, free from harassment and discrimination.
    • Demonstrates professional growth and development by updating subject matter knowledge and using effective teaching techniques.
    • Develops, maintains, and promotes a positive working environment among departmental faculty.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned by the respective Program Director.

    Minimum Qualifications
    18 graduate semester hours in physics master’s degree or a master’s degree with a major in physics

    Preferred Qualifications
    Preference is given to candidates with Physics teaching experience at the community college level, as well as LMS experience.
