Eastern Oregon University, College of Business in La Grande, Oregon is seeking to hire an adjunct online educator for Accounting to teach students online in our current bachelor’s degree and future online Master’s degree (Winter 2024). The starting date for this vacancy is January 2, 2024.
The College of Business is IACBE accredited and our accounting program is recognized by the Institute of Management Accountants. Our Accounting degree program plans to also seek specialized IACBE accounting accreditation.
The College of Business provides high-quality, high-value, transfer-friendly and practical on-campus and online undergraduate degrees in accounting, business (IACBE accredited), agriculture entrepreneurship, marketing and economics. Online degrees in emergency medical services administration, fire services administration, a master of business administration (MBA) degree, master in healthcare administration (MHA) and post-baccalaureate accounting certificates. Each prepare students with the knowledge and skills for career and life success.
Our two honor societies offer recognition to our high performing accounting, business and MBA students and for our economic students. We also offer the opportunity to become part of Eastern Oregon University’s Army ROTC or to take one or more “leadership in practice” courses in their minor that is open to all majors.
Responsibilities
- Primary teaching in undergraduate and graduate level financial accounting, accounting information systems, tax and finance, auditing and others in areas of expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a master’s degree (or equivalent post-graduate degree) in accountancy or equivalent degree
- An active CPA license or CMA certification.
- One year of experience as a professional accountant.
Preferred Qualifications
- Online teaching experience in accounting.
- Two or more years of progressive experience as a professional accountant.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
