Being an Instructor - Physics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physics typically reports to a department head. SUMMARY
Teaches functional living and community integration skills to program participants Adapts teaching techniques and methods of instruction to meet individual needs of developmentally disabled program participants.

Supervises individually assigned Instructor Assistants and program participants.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience in a direct care capacity, working in developmental disabilities or a related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification in Behavior Analysis preferred. Must be able to become certified in T.A.C.T. (Therapeutic Alternatives in Crisis Training), First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration.
