POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Sciences Instructor will collaborate with the Health Sciences Team, industry partners, and higher education to develop and implement relevant, engaging curriculum pertaining to Nursing. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach a variety of courses including Nurse Aide, Human Nutrition, Medical Terminology and Introduction to Health Sciences. The Health Science Team collaborates to develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to build a network for student clinical placements, guest speakers, and work site visits.
This is a 210-day contract beginning August 1, 2024 through June 20, 2025.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, and implement project-based curriculum for multiple courses that is industry relevant and allows students to earn industry certifications, concurrent enrollment, content credit and work-based learning experiences
Collaborate with LPS teachers (CTE, content teachers, special service providers)
Effective oral and written communication skills
Maintain budget and tracking data of student participation
Support the overall goals of the Health Sciences Pathway, the EPIC Campus, and Littleton Public Schools
Assistance in selecting and ordering equipment
Serving on advisory committees
Additional training as necessary
Promoting the EPIC Campus and this pathway by connecting with students, parents, community members and industry partners
Assistance in selecting and hiring additional employees
EDUCATION AND TRAINING-The ideal candidate will possess or be able to possess:
Relevant industry experiences including at least two years of working with chronically ill and/or elderly patients in an inpatient setting and/or long-term care facility.
Ability to create and maintain clinical relationships and autonomy to oversee students in the clinical setting.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4000 hours of healthcare experience.
The appropriate secondary Career and Technical Education credential aligned with the pathway is preferred (Health Science). Click here for credential information.

Ability/Experience to offer industry certifications
Criminal background check required for hire
Drug Screen may be required based on clinical site requirements
STARTING SALARY RANGE:
$103,000
WORK YEAR:
This is an in-person, 210 day position
