Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. As a CNA instructor, you're an experienced R.N. with skilled nursing and long-term care experience and a passion for helping others advance their nursing career.:
You will:
- Provide direct instruction to Nursing Assistant (NA) students
- Ensure required regulatory education follows state-specific requirements.
- Ensures NA students can pass state-required testing to become Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Provide CPR w/BLS training to N.A. students.
- Create and provide class schedules.
- Assist as a floor nurse in the skilled nursing community when not conducting a class.
- Possess a CPR/BLS certification and a valid R.N. license in the state of instruction.
- Experience teaching is preferred, but the right attitude and drive override this expectation.
- Have one year of nursing experience in a licensed nursing facility.
- Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills.
- Problem-solve in both resident care and employee situations.
