Essential Duties
To oversee the Music Education program, to teach courses in the Music Education curriculum, to conduct the university’s band/ instrumental ensembles and teach woodwind class/applied lessons. The person holding the position will be responsible for assessing the University’s music education program in support of CAEP and NASM accreditation. Other responsibilities include participating in research, creative and scholarly activities, active membership and involvement in regional and national professional organizations. Additional responsibilities include recruitment of outstanding students, academic advising, participation in committee work, and service to the university and community.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a Master’s Degree (or Doctorate Degree) in Music Education; 6 years of K-12 teaching; experience conducting bands, ability to teach woodwind instruments.
