Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Medical Administration typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     We are looking for experienced MA's who are interested in becoming trained as instructors to teach MA students part time, year round. We are looking for scheduled and unscheduled instructors to assist and sub. Paid training, immediate start.

    Medical Assistant Instructors help take care of students through their lifecycle with Ross!

    Medical Assistant Instructor duties include:

    • Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
    • Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
    • You learn the material and deliver lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
    • This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week. TA/Subs work as needed.

    Requirements

    • 3 years’ experience in the medical field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant. Individuals without a formal education, must have with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the medical field and a national certification. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements. No prior teaching experience required.
