Medical Training College is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our dynamic team of teachers. As an instructor, you are the most important part of our day-to-day mission of educating students about careers that exist today. Our instructors are more than just teachers, they are role models and motivators who are actively involved in all their classes. They treat each student with dignity and respect, making every effort to help them succeed.
Our instructors are motivated to have a positive impact on the lives of our students. This role is full-time and on-site at our Baton Rouge campus. The candidate that fills this role must strive to be above reproach and maintain the highest standards of ethics. This role reports directly to the program coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instruct and motivate students as they progress through their programs
- Promptly grade assignments while providing timely, constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in every facet of their day-to-day work.
- Always be prepared for each class, ensuring that you are there before your students begin arriving
- Making sure you have enough equipment and supplies to adequately serve students.
- Be dependable and responsible, giving our students your best.
- Facilitate a welcoming and engaging classroom environment that is conducive to effective learning.
- Attend additional training and meetings as needed.
- Regularly seek continuing professional and educational development.
- Work with other staff updating and/or maintaining curriculum.
- Conference with students and appropriately document all activities in the respective portals.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- 5-years of proven and exceptional work experience as a MA or LPN is required.
- A diploma, degree, or certification in your professional field is required.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be computer-literate, and able to utilize and interact with the school's software.

All candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and a full drug screen.
