SIE is looking for a Mechanical Inspector to support construction management for a Nassau County DPW water treatment project located in East Rockaway, NY.
Responsibilities:- Conducting on-site observation, monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of construction activities
- Reviewing and interpreting project specifications and drawings to verify contractor compliance therewith
- Reviewing contractor performance and compliance with safety requirements
- Preparing daily reports, verifying material quantities, and assisting the review of contractor pay applications
- Assist with preparing/reviewing correspondence, maintenance of project records, preparing change order documents, preparing progress reports
- Assisting Office Engineer as needed
- Assisting Resident Egniener as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- 8 years of construction management experience on water/wastewater projects
- Experience in piping systems required
- Bachelors in Engineering preferred
- OSHA 30
