Instructor - Mechanical Engineering jobs in Alabama

Summary:

The Department of Mechanical & Civil Engineering and Construction Management at Alabama A&M University invites applications for a temporary full time teaching position. This position is a non-tenured position. Previous teaching is preferred in the general areas of Mechanical Engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach Mechanical Engineering courses assigned by the Chair
• Advise students
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):

• Earned a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The applicant must have a good knowledge of Automatic Control Systems, Analysis and Instrumentation of Physical Systems. Other courses such as Fluid Mechanics, Kinematics & Dynamics of Machines, MATLAB, ANSYS, CAD software such as Solid Edge or Solid Works, Materials Science and Solid Mechanics will be preferred.

SALARY:

The salary for each position is based on the grade/tier in which the position is placed, and the salary within the grade/tier is based on the number of years of related experience or number of years in the hiring rank.
