Instructor - Legal Support teaches courses in the discipline area of legal support services. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Legal Support provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Legal Support typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Position: Full-Time Community Engagement Coordinator. The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordination of Homeless and Health Care Navigator Outreach Specialists, & other future outreach projects Statewide. In coordination with the Managing Attorney, identifies outreach locations and coordinates with partner sites for scheduling and logistics. In coordination with the Managing Attorney and Grants department works to ensure that staffing assignments and outreach efforts match and meet grant outcomes. The Coordinator also participates in providing legal services within the various outreach projects.

    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    · Maintain and update outreach calendar including staffing.

    · Primary point of contact for partner agencies regarding outreach needs, locations, schedules.

    · In consultation with Managing Attorney, identify possible additional outreach locations and partners.

    · Maintain knowledge of all the grants, outcomes, timelines, etc…. and ensuring that staffing and outreach sites are appropriate to meet grant expectations.

    · Providing outreach and legal services in the community as needed.

    Qualifications: Candidates should meet the following minimum job qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree or relevant educational experience. Strong writing and editing skills required.

    · Strong organizational skills required.

    · At least 3 years of experience in client services and outreach.

    · Demonstrable experience conducting successful outreach campaigns to disadvantaged and low-income populations.

    · Demonstrable commitment to social justice or experience working with disadvantaged and/or low-income population, or issues affecting low-income populations required.

    · Experience working collaboratively and maintain good working relationships within diverse and interdependent teams.

    · Culturally sensitive and able to work well with diverse, low-income populations.

    · Able to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks with attention to detail.

    · Able to work under pressure in an empathetic and professional manner.

    · Willingness to accept additional responsibilities as experience grows and opportunities present themselves and to expand responsibilities as deemed necessary.

    · Fluency in a language other than English a plus.

    · Must have driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and/or reliable transportation.

    Compensation: $20.09-26.63 per hour commensurate with experience and qualifications.
