Instructor - Educational Assessment teaches courses in the discipline area of educational assessment, testing, and measurement. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job Summary
To provide direct care as assigned. May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedures that require the use of non-prescription medications.Accountabilities
Performs responsibilities accurately, timely, and safely for assigned patients/area.
Communicates and informs appropriate personnel, patients and family members of pertinent information in a timely manner.
Maintains accurate paper and electronic documentation.
Utilizes equipment and supplies safely and appropriately; orders supplies as needed; labels specimens correctly.
Performs basic nursing care, simple and complex procedures, multiple treatments, waived testing and transports assigned patients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
Previous nursing assistant, medical assistant or related experience preferred.
In Lieu Of The Minimum Requirements Noted Above
In lieu of required coursework, will accept 1 year of related healthcare experience.
In lieu of school verification of a nursing assistant training course, will accept current or former South Carolina CNA certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire.
In lieu of school verification of a medical assistant training course, will accept current or former CMA certification as proof of completed required training at time of hire.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Must possess skills necessary to care for patients.
