Conduct Assessments for program participants
Essential Functions: Describe the
duties that define the core responsibilities of the job.
- Tabulate assessment results measuring language proficiency, financial
literacy, literacy and numeracy skills. Work readiness, occupational
awareness, family wellness and safety, strengths and weakness, personal values
and interest. Techers various employability skills, computer software and
job readiness for Welfare-to-Work participants and facilitates their
engagements through the use of strong motivational strategies, methodologies
and techniques.
- Working closely with Carer Navigators to ensure clients are ready for a
service plan and assisting students with resources to achieve these goals.
- Identifies and assesses goals for self-sufficiency.
- Assists participants with defining and refining identified strengths, the
participant’s vision and needs.
- Handle other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Describe the minimum educational and experience
requirements/preferences.
- Experience working in a welfare-to-work program preferred
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented person preferred
- Must be energetic and creative with ability to establish and maintain
student/teacher relationships
- Must be a team player with good work ethic
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize demands
- Receives direction from management
- Must be able to work with supervisor to identify clients’ level of
accomplishment for the purpose of determining appropriate placements. Ability
to relate to clients in a manner conductive to building self-esteem and
confidence which may directly affect clients’ ability to overcome barriers.
Skills Required: Describe the minimum skills required or preferred
- Knowledge of computer applications preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised: Where applicable
describes level of authority, decision making discretion, consequences of
actions, supervisory and fiscal responsibility. Provide metrics where
