Salary Range
From $22.04 to $30.64 per hour
Position Purpose: To provide required classroom instruction to operate a class D motor vehicle, maintain student records and issue documentation according to the North Dakota Driver Education Rules.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and apply current state law and regulations applicable to the ownership and operation of a class D vehicle.
- Create and organize lesson plans for Highway Safety classroom instruction and Behind the Wheel driving instruction.
- Use visual aids and technical apparatus pertinent to the program’s curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must hold a ND teaching license with Driver Education endorsement by June 3, 2020.
- Must have been a valid licensed Class D driver for three years in North Dakota or another United States state.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Past participation in workshops/continuing ed on driving practices and new laws as presented by the Department of Public Safety, Department of Transportation, and Department of Education.
- Previous teaching experience.

In addition, Teacher Applicants will need to attach: Current teaching license.
