Position Summary
The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Detroit Mercy College of Engineering and Science invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track China Program instructor position in Computer Science or Software Engineering beginning in August 2024. The annual appointments are renewable based on performance reviews. A graduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, strong communications skills, and a student-centered approach to excellent teaching and student learning are required. A doctorate degree is preferred. Instructors will teach undergraduate classes to support the Department programs in China. Overseas teaching assignments currently range from six to twelve weeks in length.

Physical Requirements
