Instructor - Computer Science teaches courses in the discipline area of computer and information sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Must have a fun personality and a strong desire to work with children. Perfect for students looking for a real classroom experience. No science background is required- we will provide training!
Our summer programs are 3 hours to 6 hour-long sessions, with the morning session /afternoon sessions and full day sessions. Summer programs are held at various schools, parks, and recreational facilities around the county. Some programs may be held outside.
Required:
A desire to learn and work with children in grades K-8.
Reliable transportation
Light lifting
All appropriate clearances (CA State, CA Child Abuse History, and FBI Clearances)
