Instructor - Computer Science teaches courses in the discipline area of computer and information sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science

  • Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professorship of Mathematics and Computer Science beginning August 2024. Candidates with a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, computer science, or a closely-related field are eligible to apply for a tenure-track position. Those candidates with a master's degree in one of the above fields are eligible to apply for a non-tenure-track position. All candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching at an undergraduate liberal arts institution. Final rank and tenure status will be determined by the Provost after the final round of interviews and conversations with candidates.

    This is a full-time benefit-eligible position, which includes a comprehensive package including health, vision and dental insurance benefits, retirement benefits, and undergraduate tuition remission for employee's dependents among other benefits.

    This position is open to all areas of specialization in statistics, data science, computer science, or a closely-related field. Faculty are expected to teach a variety of lower- and upper-level statistics and data analytics courses and selected entry-level mathematics and computer sciences courses.
