Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professorship of Mathematics and Computer Science beginning August 2024. Candidates with a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, computer science, or a closely-related field are eligible to apply for a tenure-track position. Those candidates with a master's degree in one of the above fields are eligible to apply for a non-tenure-track position. All candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching at an undergraduate liberal arts institution.
