Instructor - Computer Science teaches courses in the discipline area of computer and information sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Job Summary
    Part -time Adjunct Instructor for Fall semester 2024 to teach face to face CSC 116 on the Ankeny Campus. Days and times to be determined.

    Essential Functions
    Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

    Required Qualifications
    Master’s Degree in field OR Masters in related field OR any master’s with 12 semester credits of courses in field beyond the introductory principles level.
    Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.

    Desired Qualifications
    Teaching experience.
