Detail-oriented Analytical Chemistry Lab technician to support submarine construction programs and to comply with state and federal regulatory requirements.with primary responsibilities of sample collection, preparation, chemical analysis and documentation. The ideal candidate should have experience in analytical chemistry working to government approved methods. A background in State of CT DEEP environmental discharge regulations a plus. Must be available to work off-shift when required. The candidate will be required to frequently access the Ships and Shipyard Construction areas. This work can be physically demanding requiring the individual to carry sampling equipment throughout the shipyard and aboard submarines in all weather conditions. The individual must be capable of entering confined and enclosed spaces, able to climb ladders and stairs and able to work at heights. The candidate will be cross-trained in additional areas as needed.
