The selected candidate will join a collaborative Biology and Chemistry Department dedicated to inclusive undergraduate teaching. This is an annual contract position with the possibility of renewal that will begin in August 2024.The selected candidate will engage a diverse group of students in the process of science through innovative teaching primarily in general chemistry courses with the opportunity to contribute to upper-level courses and labs that match expertise. This position also includes teaching in our general education program with interdisciplinary “science and society” courses. Success in this position is defined by excellence in teaching and the appointee’s ability to inspire students through active learning of general chemistry concepts.This position is exempt from provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible to earn overtime pay or compensatory time off for additional hours worked.
