Position Summary:
The College of Engineering at UAA is accepting applications for AY23-24. We are seeking applicants for the adjunct instructor job pool. Applicants much be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment.
Duties:
100The incumbent will be responsible for teaching one or more courses in a manner consistent with the course content guide. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught.Essential
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Applicants must be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment. Applicants will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparations, past teaching experience and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students in a manner consistent with the specific course content guidelines.
Preferred Experience & Education:Applicants must have experience relevant to teaching the specific course content.
Required Experience & Education:MA/MS in Engineering or a related field, unless an exception has been approved by the College of Engineering Dean. Exceptions may be made in other circumstances when prospective faculty have special professional credentials and experience.
Salary Information:This is a part-time, adjunct instructor position. Minimum salaries are set by the United Academic - Adjunct, AAUP-AT/AFL-CIO collective bargaining agreement. Salaries may vary based upon education and experience.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year. Applications will be reviewed on as rolling basis as additional adjunct instructors are needed.

This is an at-will, union represented adjunct position, and may be canceled based upon the needs of the university.
